  • Joe Jabs Trevor Again

Much like the College National Championship two seasons ago, Joe Burrow was able to lead his team to victory over a Trevor Lawrence team. From early on it actually looked like the Jaguars were going to run away with this easily, going 14-0 up at half time with complete control. Cincinnati came out and scored a touchdown within two minutes of the second half and had all the flow of the game. It went all the way to the last kick of the game for the Bengals to take the lead. A beautiful game winning drive by Burrow to keep his team up the top of the AFC North.

  • Trey Area?

At half time in the match between Seattle and San Francisco, Jimmy Garoppolo was removed from the game after suffering a calf injury. It continues to be the same, repeating story for the niners but this time around they had a young, prospect waiting for his turn. Trey Lance entered the game in the second half, and it was not the worst performance considering the circumstances. There were some really good patches but also some worrying ones. He finished with 157 passing yards along with two touchdowns and a 117.1 passer rating. This ended up being better then Russell Wilson’s. The niners couldn’t hold it together and ended up falling at home. Garoppolo’s playing status for this week’s game at Arizona remains in question. This could be Lance’s chance to prove he’s ready.

  • How ‘bout them ‘boys?

This season there looks to be a different swagger about the Dallas Cowboys. They still look to be the same offensive force we thought they would, but this season they are much improved defensively. Coming up with takeaways and important stops. They have gone up against Tampa Bay and were arguably a different call away from turning the result of that game. They’ve also beaten a formidable Charger and most recently Panther team to go one game clear in the NFC East. A team that also struggled with injuries last season has adapted to become a better and more resilient team.

  • Giants Scalp

After having a heartbreaking fortnight of games, the New York Giants were looking at a 3rd consecutive week in New Orleans. Down 10-21 in the 4th quarter, the giants needed to dig deep to stay competitive. Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley were awesome down the stretch and led the team back to go to overtime and then to ice it there also. Something the Giants really needed going forward confidence wise. They will need it as they’re coming up against an in-form Dallas team this week.

  • Jumping Jets

Speaking of big scalps by a New York team, the Jets got there first win on the board for the season. After some really bad performances from previous weeks, the Jets were able to hold on the entire game to do enough to beat the Tennessee Titans. The Jets were unable to hold off a two-minute drill in the fourth by the Titans to win it in regulation, but they were good enough to stop them first in overtime. This set them up for an any score win drive, which is what happened after Matt Ammendola converted a 22-yard field goal.

  • Terrific Tyreek

Another week of the outstanding Kansas City Chiefs offence on display and this week it was Tyreek Hill’s turn to light it up. In week one, he went for almost 200 yards and a touchdown, last week he went for 186 yards and three touchdowns. 42 points is impressive no matter who you play, even if it is the Philadelphia Eagles. The chiefs will always be an offensive powerhouse, but their problem remains on the defensive side of the ball. Against better teams, they will struggle to win if they continue to perform poorly defensively.

  • Last Ones Standing

Only one undefeated team remains after the fourth week, the Arizona Cardinals. They did it in some style last week too, beating a red-hot Rams team in Los Angeles. Arizona looks a very complete team, very good up front and in the secondary. The dynamic threat that is Kyler Murray helps greatly with an upgraded running back group. Additionally, an upgraded Offensive line and deeper receiving group. A big chance to win their first NFC West title in six years in arguably the toughest division currently.

  • Brady Beats Belichick

The return of the great Tom Brady to Foxborough turned out to be an enticing matchup. New England came out and gave Brady some headaches early on. Mac Jones also battled hard to try and get New England over the line, but it was not enough. Once again Tom Brady in New England led his team down the field to put his team in a position to win the game. Just for Tampa Bay this time. With two minutes left, Ryan Succop sunk a 48-yard field goal to put the Bucs up by two points. Mac Jones led his team down the field also to put New England in a position to win it for his team. Nick Folk from 56 yards was unsuccessful as his kick drifted left and hit the upright. An emotional return for Tom Brady and it may well could be his last trip to Foxborough.
